Another FuelOpt system started up successfullyCommissioning a FuelOpt system or sightseeing around the cost of Barcelona? We can do both!
Lean Marine just started up another FuelOpt system. This time on the chemical tanker Straum owned and operated by Utkilen AS. This is just one vessel of the fleet wide implementation of FuelOpt that Lean Marine is conducting on the Utkilen fleet.
The commissioning went very well and a first estimate from the crew onboard Straum puts the fuel savings on a substantial level.
You’ll have to look long and hard for a system with comparable cost efficiency in reaching reduced fuel consumption and emissions.
Big thanks to the crew of Straum and the people of Utkilen.

Great conversations at Posidonia 2018We're pleased to note that we left this year's Posidonia event with some great conversations fresh in our memories.
This year's Posidonia exhibition, which took place in Athens between the 4th and 8th of July, saw Lean Marine exhibiting our FuelOpt product for an intrigued audience. With a really nice simulator setup we were able to showcase the powerful fuel saving potential of running a FuelOpt automation system.
We'd like to thank all the visitors to our stand and everyone else who participated in making this a really valuable time spent for Lean Marine.
If you'd like to strike up a conversation or continue talking to us about direct and automated fuel saving, just give us a call!
Posidonia is drawing closer! It's now only a couple of days left until you'll have the opportunity to meet us in Piraeus to discuss how to save fuel on your fleet.
Are you a ship owner, charterer, technical manager or in any way involved in operating a vessel? You've got a good reason to drop by our stand 2.257 and talk to us about reducing your fuel consumption and improving your environmental footprint.
Looking forward to meeting you there!
Successful commissioning of Korean newbuilding!FuelOpt system for newbuilding SB609 has been successfully commissioned.
In case you were wondering our fuel saving automation system FuelOpt will make a big difference whether it's installed in a newly built vessel or retrofitted into an existing one.
Chemical tanker newbuilding SB609 just left the Dae Sun shipyard in Korea and on-board was one of our commissioning engineers who took this charming picture.
The FuelOpt system was successfully started up and was confirmed to save a substantial amount fuel from the get go. Even when the vessel was running at design speed and fully loaded!
No matter the level of sophistication of the propulsion machinery, there's always savings to be made with clever automation of the propulsion parameters.
